报告内容摘要:

In these days, nanomaterials have been used in different polymer materials aiming to improve their properties. In fact, in such research the functionalization of nanomaterials is extremely important. In this lecture, varied multifunctional nanomaterials, such as functionalized layered double hydroxide, graphene, nano-silica, etc, have been designed and studied in different nanomaterial-based polymer systems. In particular, the flame retardancy, fire behaviour, mechanical properties, thermal properties and an-UV properties of these polymer nanocomposites will be discussed..

Dr. De-Yi Wang got his Ph.D in Polymer Chemistry and Physics at Sichuan University in China in 2007. Part of his doctoral research was carried out at the University of Bolton in United Kingdom. In 2008, he joined Leibniz Institute of Polymer Research Dresden (IPF) in Germany and worked on the environment-friendly fire retardant materials. In the same year, he was granted the Alexander Humboldt Fellowship (AvH) to develop new generation fire retardant polymer nanocomposites. Before joining IMDEA Materials Institute as Head of High Performance Polymer Nanocomposites Group in Madrid in 2012, he led a research team on environmentally friendly high performance nanocomposites in processing department in Leibniz Institute of Polymer Research Dresden (IPF) in Germany. He has been selected as the Academic Consultant on environmentally friendly chemical materials in United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) since 2012. In 2014, he was appointed as“IPF Fellow”and led the research group of fire retardant materials study in the processing department in IPF. Currently, he is the oversea PhD supervisor of the University of Auckland in New Zealand, PhD advisor of Carlos III University of Madrid and Technical University of Madrid in Spain, Guest Professor of South China University of Technology in China, and the Coordinator of EU Marie Curie-International Incoming Fellowship program.
Research activities: Dr. De-Yi Wang’s research activities focus on application-oriented fundamental problems and novel technologies in high performance polymer materials, such as multifunctional nanomaterials, eco-benign fire retardants with high effectiveness, high performance polymers nanocomposites, fire behaviors and mechanisms, etc.
